Portable Power & Control

My layout is in the far corner of my yard, so after about the third time carrying all the electronics in and out I came up with this Idea.

I found a large equipment case and mounted everything inside. I placed the equipment and connections so that all I have to do is plug in the power (extension cord from the house) and connect the track wires (quick disconnect type) turn everything on and start running.

The box dimensions are 21" x 8" x 12" on the outside.

When open the bottom contains (from L to R) Aristo-Craft ART-5460 Ultima 10 Amp Power Supply, ART-5401-10 10 Amp Controller (so I can still run if the RC is down), ART-5470 Train Engineer Remote Control System and coiled in the wide Velcro strap against the edge its the track connection wire.

In the Lid from L to R and top to bottom, a 12V 3A generic power supply used to provide power to the ART-5474 Remote Accessory Receiver, ART-5400 1.8A Power Supply (from a Starter Set), a piece of foam used to hold screwdrivers and spare fuses and a fused power strip to plug everything into. The small wires that run from the top to bottom on the right are the antenna for the RC units.

The screwdrivers and fuses are handy to keep from running back and forth to the house.

I left space in the middle for the addition of other switch controllers and have a terminal strip under the power supply with extra space to connect the additional components.
