I am an ardent Hellenophile and devotee of Apollo of the Golden Arrows. Some sites of interest in this area are the Stele, the homepage of Omphalos, a group of Hellenists, those devoted to the worship of the Olympian gods. This is not a hobby or academic interest in the Olympians. This is a true religion, followed by myself and others. Another group of Neo-Hellenists is the Julian Society, devoted to the restoration of Hellenism as a major world religion, the presentation of the emperor Julian as a model of religious freedom and diversity and the establishment as Neo-Hellenism as a viable alternative to cultural Christianity. As patron of art, music, the intellect, manly beauty and the embodiment of all the many blessing and manifestations of the solar deity, my lord Apollo has many depictions in art. Many of them are available at Apollo in Art. A great source of more materials on these thoughts and rituals as well as the religious founder dear to many of us, Pythagoras, can be found at the Biblioteca Arcana.

I've been a member of the Capital City Men's Chorus here in Austin for thirteen years and sing Bass. The chorus is a member of Gala Choruses, an international association. Check them out, they've got some interesting links. I have served the CCMC as a Board member since 1995 fulfilling the obligations of Chorus Liaison, Vice President, President, Treasurer and Funds Development Chair.

I've been out of the closet for eighteen years now having participated in several marches on Austin for gay rights and having served on the Steering Committee of the Austin Lesbian and Gay Political Caucus. Several sites that I find interesting in this area of my life are Planet Out, Queer Resource Directory and Gay.com.

I've got a novel in the working stage with Paul Minor, Hegemony, the first in a projected series of works on Epameinondas and Pelopidas, the homoerotic couple who founded Theban democracy and broke the power of aristocratic Sparta. I've also written some poetry. Be careful; some of the poetry is pretty risque.
I am a 1967 graduate of Thibodaux High School. I attended Baylor University from that year to 1971 and then again in the summer of 1976 when I got my undergraduate degree in History and Religion. Between 1985 and 1988 I attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and took graduate courses in Classical Studies. Though I maintained a 4.0 average, I never got the Master’s Degree.
In the past two years I have completed the Curriculum for Living with the Landmark Education Corporation. I whole-heartedly endorse this educational experience for everyone interested in gaining insights into their lives, becoming transformational personalities and increasing by leaps and bounds their knowledge and communicative skills regarding themselves and others. It is a life-changing experience!
One of my passions in life is the study of family origins. I have catalogue approximately 50,000 ancestors and their proper coats of arms. I have placed many of these ancestors on ancestry.com. You can find most of my work there by doing a search on Troy Caperton, my father. You can’t search for me because ancestry.com does not list living persons by name in their genealogical trees. I have also been active in several family forums on genealogy.com. Should you have a similar interest in your family history, please feel free to email me. I also offer genealogical and heraldic research.
In an effort to share my knowledge of family heritage and heraldry, I have begun a business to “foster pride in the heritage of our families”. Please look over my offerings with a view of ordering.

I like to date guys my age and younger, not too heavy and not scared off by rigorous honesty or strong personalities. If you're interested, drop me a line. I also have a profile at gay.com. I have been in three live-in relationships with men and think the world of all three guys. Pictures of me with them can be found in my galleries.
I sobered up the last time on March 28, 1989. I am a member of the local gay and lesbian Alcoholics Anonymous group in Austin and have served several terms as chairman and on the Steering Committee.
I am ardent Austinophil and find these sites very interesting concerning my adopted city: City of Austin’ official site, Austin 360, and Real/Time Commuications Local Home Page.
