A new friend on Porsche Pete's Boxster Board who lives in Greece has flattered me by asking that I post this repair on my website. Per his request, I've massaged his English a little bit but otherwise this is just as he presented it to us.

Oil leak diagnosis !..... (It was published at 22/1/2004)
The leak is from the Cylinder head cover and from ATF pan gasket !!! The mechanic wanted 500.00 euro (635.00 US$) for labor only, plus materials gasket etc.. ! I did not let him do the work! I considered that a lot of money to loosen and tighten screws, and thought seriously to do this myself !!

Oil leak repair

Two days ago I went and I washed under the car to see where the leak came from!
Today I went to the Porsche to repair the leaks
When we raised the car.. surprise ! We saw this!!!

The leak came only from this screw !!!
And we did this:

Remove the screw and clean very good and inside the hole

Then we used this silicone, in the hole and on the screw

And the cost? 42 euro!!!
For this, we should search well my friends, before we pay!!
