| I have spent
almost 25 years in the practice of landscape architecture. After receiving
my degree from the University of California, Berkeley in 1979, I worked
in the San Francisco Bay Area and Stockholm, Sweden until my move to Austin
in 1992. The first four years I lived in Austin (1992-1996) I was the head
of the design and construction department for Gardens. I opened my own
practice in January of 1996. As a landscape architect, I have developed
a style characterized by an emphasis on the integration of garden and structure
coupled with horticultural design emphasizing color, form and seasonal
interest.
Among my many varied projects have been small courtyard like city gardens, large country estates, city parks, and an ecologically sensitive creek area which wa s fully restored to its native state. I provide the full range of landscape architectural services, taking a project from the initial stages of site analysis and design through government or neighborhood agency approval, contract documents, bidding, and construction supervision. At the same time, this process is often streamlined for simpler projects. |

You may enjoy Tom Spencer's wonderful web site Soul of the Garden. As you may know, Austin is home of the National Wildflower Research Center. Besides gardening, two of my other great passions in life are T'ai Chi and Yoga |
