Q.E.D. Quick Start Card - Embedded Power, Inc.

My boss challenged me to come up with a one-page document that would demonstrate to embedded developers how to configure this ICE unit's probe tip, COMM card, and system connections. Lots of useful information condensed into a broadside card packed as the first thing the customer saw when opening the package. It should be handy to tape up on the wall, too.

Here is the card, in PDF format. You must have the Adobe Acrobat Reader plug-in installed to view this in your browser.

She liked it.

About the Product

Q.E.D.™ is an in-circuit emulator used by embedded systems developers that replaces the microprocessor in a 186 or 386 target system during development. Yes, they are still in use!

An in-circuit emulator provides complete control over microprocessor functions, enabling developers to identify problems in their embedded projects quickly. The emulator functions under the control of debugger software - in this case VisualProbe®, running under Microsoft Windows®.

All events that take place in the processor can be monitored by the debugger software. The programmer can define any hardware event or value to trigger a specific debugger response. The debugger interface provides what is essentially a microscopic real time, recorded, or freeze-framed view of hardware states, program code, and their interactions.

This unit is no longer being manufactured. However, existing units can still be serviced by Spiral Alliance of Round Rock, TX.
