Defining Configuration Rules & Constraints

  Edit An Existing Rule

 

SCConfig Manager allows you to modify Rules or parts of rules after they have been defined. You can add parts to either the left-hand or right-hand box. You can delete a Part or Part Class from either side of the Rule. You can also change the relationship between the sides of the Rule.

To modify an existing Rule:

1. Display the Rule you wish to modify in the Rule Detail window.
2. Modify the definition, as necessary:

  • To add a part to either side of the Rule, drag and drop the part into the correct box.
  • To delete a part from either side of the Rule, select it and press the Delete key-or right -click on it and selet Delete from the mouse menu.
  • To change the relationship between the sides of the Rule, select a new [Operator].
  • To remove all of the Rule definition information:
    1. Select the Rule in the list in the Rule Detail Body pane.
    2. Press the Delete key (or select Delete from the Edit menu).
