RTXCDSP Real Time Operating System Icon

The engineers in our Houston location developed a commercial RTOS for embedded developers to use with DSP-based microprocessors. I needed to come up with a design that would represent it. A red armature surrounding a glowing button was the one the Marketing director picked out of a group of four or five.

This product continues to be sold by Lineo, Inc., the firm that bought Embedded Power - although I believe they no longer use this icon - it would clash mightily with their olive-drab color scheme. However, It went well with the existing set of Embedded Power icons - which I did not design.
