Play Inc. Snappy video snapshot
Play Inc has a device called SNAPPY. It takes NTSC video and grabs it to feed to your computer via the parallel port. The big question has been, "Just how good is it for $200?" From what I have seen the weak link is in the input device to Snappy. I still have a hard time believing the pictures on the box but the better the equipment used to feed Snappy, the better the results. If you have always wanted to take your own video and put it onto the computer, then Snappy is a great device. You will always be limited by the quiality of you device you use to feed Snappy. I am still very pleased with the results I've gotten. George Holt has some Snappy examples http://metro.turnpike.net/holt/snappy.html
