- Double-click the My Computer icon on your desktop.
|

- Double-click Dial Up Networking
|
|
|

- In the Name the new phonebook entry box, type Realtime
- Click the Next button.
|
|
|
- Put a check next to I am calling the Internet and Send my
plain text password if that's the only way to connect.
- Click the Next button.

 |
- In the Phone number box, type your local dialup
number (found
here).
- Click the Next button.
|
|
|
- Click the Finish button at the final screen.
|

- Back at the Dial Up Networking window, make sure your new
phonebook entry is highlighted, then click the More button
- Choose Edit entry and modem properties.
- Click on the Server tab
|
|
|
- Click on the TCP/IP Settings button.
|
 |
|
 |
- Put a dot next to Server assigned IP address.
- Put a dot next to Specify name server addresses.
- In the Primary DNS box, type 205.238.128.39
- In the Secondary DNS box, type 205.238.128.42
- Click the OK button, then click the OK button again.

Creating A Shortcut:
- To create a shortcut for this connection on your desktop, click the
More button
- Choose Create shortcut to entry.
- You will now be prompted for a directory in which to save the shortcut.
It should default to the Desktop.
- Click the Save button.
- You should now have the shortcut on the desktop.
- Close the Dial Up Networking and My Computer windows.
- Once you locate the new icon on your desktop, double-click it to
connect.
