The Air Show will feature an airpower demonstration
performed by the Commemorative Air Force’s great airplanes of World War II that will include:
1. The award winning Tora Tora Tora group simulating the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.
2. Fly overs of bombers, fighters, transports and trainers of World War II.
3. A Korean War Ariel sequence.
4. Aerobatics performed by a Great Lakes biplane, an early WW II trainer.
5. An F-16 demonstration.
6. A heritage flight featuring an F-16 Falcon and a P-51 Mustang flying in formation.
7. Flights by U.S. Army Blackhawk and Apache helicopters.
8. Reenactors simulating battles World War II.
The Saturday evening Dinner Dance will feature a U.S.O. type show in the CENTEX Wing's huge wooden World War II hangar with dancing to big band music of the “Sentimental Journey Orchestra” as they play from under the nose of a B-25 bomber. Highlights of the evening include and air raid , dance contest and dance demonstrations by several area dance groups. Period dress is encouraged but not required.
