Lefteris has offered his wonderful help in showing how to install a Porsche Communications Module in a boxster or 911. I've had no end of trouble putting this together for him because of several factors, not the least of which is that my WYSIWYG html authoring software keeps crashing during the time it takes me to enter and format this information.
So, I'm just going to put up links to Microsoft Word documents that he prepared.
If you want to install a PCM, this is how to do it. I would like to suggest that unless you have a desire to stick strictly with Porsche parts in your car or unless you happen to find an unbelievable deal on the parts, that you not do this installation if you're interested in a navigation system. Porsche does not support this system with updates very often, or if you have a system from 1999, they don't support it at all anymore because it has a bug that prevents updates from working. Navigation technology has progressed substantially, so I would urge you to use either a portable system, or some other after market system, such as Alpine or Garmin.
